It's so different now... I'm getting lost o_O Just like how I got lost trying to navigate around Neopets.
Hee hee Neopets...
So I hear the Xanga scene is coming back? Well that's good I guess. I mean as much as I love Livejournal, no one uses it so I might as well make all my posts private. Meh...
07/17/06 10:27 PM: YOUR album! Well, its been a long journey (and even longer for all of you) but, as of last night, Clays album is finished at last!! While its been quite a long process, trust me, it's very much worth the wait! We started down one musical path with it and ended up on another. One that I am sure that you will be pleased with and one that I know we are very proud of.
I have been very fortunate in my career to work with or along side of some of the greatest singers on the planet Celine, Barbra, Andrea Bocelli. And I believe (as you already know) Clay is right up there next to those amazing singers. You all expressed to me that you wanted me to be sure that his vocal shined through on his CD as if you were listening to him live. I think we accomplished that. And, I think he made great choices of songs on his album to showcase that. As much as I know it will frustrate you, unfortunately, I cant tell you what those are at this point.youll have to find out for yourself when you get the album. (Or, since I know you want to know as much as you can, Ill try to give you more information here when I am allowed to.) But, I believe you will hear him singing in ways that you have never heard or even dreamed of. His musical talent, instincts and abilities have astounded me.
While you will have to wait a little longer for the record label to firm up the final release date, I can tell you now that Clay and I are sure that you will love this album in "A Thousand Different Ways"!
We burned all our damn AP and IB papers from the past year (and in Allison's case, all her papers from the past 4yrs of high school). Each time someone pulled out a packet from a really hated class/subject/lesson, we'd have them read part of it out loud. Then we'd all scream BUUUURRRN IT!!! I think the most hated packets of papers were those from AP Government, Physics, Camus stuff/Native Son/Things Fall Apart /Invisible Man from AP English, AP French (those papers burned particularly well), AP Spanish, AP math courses, and SAT/PSAT prep stuff. Amanda and Gabby had a whoooole bunch of papers from their favorite classes. They even had a theme song for those papers and sang it as they burned haha.
The best part had to have been singing along to the POTO soundtrack as we burned papers... and playing the Prologue as Wagner told the story of how he lit his pants on fire at boy scouts hahahahaha... The best papers to burn were the really glossy campaign flyers from government. They turned the fire blue and green =)
When we started to run out of papers (which was around 11pm cuz Allison had SOOOO much), Wagner decided he'd set off some fireworks. I won't go into detail, but let's just say throwing fireworks into a bonfire is a VERY BAD IDEA!!!
OMG getting rid of all those papers felt sooooooo good, you have no idea!!! NYAAAAH HAHAHAHHAHA!!!
Friday was pretty amusing too. Serena, Victor, Gabriel and I went to see Jaws at the AFI theater in Silver Spring. Took an hour long metro ride... arrived 30min late for the movie so we switched our tickets from the 7pm showing to the 9:30pm one... ate at Panera Bread... lots of weird things said by Victor and Gabriel... EBOLA!!! Anyway, Serena and I had seen Jaws like 3 times already, but seeing it on a screen as ginormous as the one at AFI is TERRIFYING!!! Of course, Mr. Mechanical Shark Jumping On The Boat is hilarious cuz it just looks so fake, but other than that, all the BOO and sudden pop-out-make-you-pee-in-your-pants moments were soooo scary!! Holy crap!! But dude, if you live in the DC area, you should go to the AFI theater sometime and watch a movie there. The tix may seem pricey, but it's worth it. Trust me!!
And if you take the metro to Silver Spring, you might see "the turtle with sharp teeth and evil intent". =)
On our way back, we were obnoxiously singing random POTO and Queen songs on the metro... we also quoted stuff from Little Britain, particularly those from the PM & Sebastian sketches. They were usually followed by a bout of uncontrollable laughter... got weird stares from the people riding with us... heh heh heh
Then we played a game--a seemingly ridiculous and nonsensical game, but it had some naughtiness to it.
NAUGHTY MOOSE!!!
BTW, I went to Michael's house and finally got our swing dancing video! So if I can figure out how to get it on the computer, I will YouTube it and show it to you all. Cuz it's the sh!t. BwahaEDIT
